on red alert

due to the impending coup d etat, which is shaking
our president and her administration as we speak,
our office was put on red alert. and as part of the
contingency plan imposed by our admin, we were asked to
bring extra clothes in case an office lockdown occurs.
which means we'll live in our work areas ala pinoy big
brother. minus the wired and scripted conversations of
course. they say a telecoms company may be a possible
target. but i really can't imagine myself spending more
than twenty-four hours in the office so i defied the orders.
that gives me an alibi (and a seemingly reasonable one
for that matter) once an actual lockdown occurs. who
would want a stinkin' co-employee? noone. and so i rest
my case..

a red alert holiday. this feels like christmas!
