labor day
music: holy is the Lord - chris tomlin
mood: dear tummy, don't fail me now
our youth worship team was asked to play for
the pastor's kids this afternoon, this is still
in line with the ongoing CAMACOP GA in UP. i'm a bit
confused because it is supposed to be a worship
set but they said we need not to prepare the
lyrics to the songs. i figured how would they be
able to sing along without the lyrics? still we
insist that the lyrics be prepared. i'm really not
sure if all of the attendees there are familiar
with the songs that we would be singing so we made
a chop suey lineup. our worship set is:
1. joyful joyful we adore Thee
2. now that You're near
3. hungry
4. all for love
5. shout unto the King
the last two songs are new from United, coming from
their latest release, "look to You" the first
song is an upbeat version of a hymn. i guess we're
all familiar with the second song, even my 3-year
old niece knows that. hungry.. well, it's from vineyard
and it was written by kathryn scott. not many people
know that song i guess. we "stole" still's version of
it, adding "i can't live Jesus without You" in the
ending using U2's "without or without you" melody. you
can actually do that because they follow the same chord
pattern, only that "with or without you" is two steps
higher.
i will be pinch-hitting for the guitars since dave is
not available, he will be taking his prelims as we play.
the event starts in two hours, i'm still here in the
office typing away. i hope i can make it on time. hehe.
no office on monday. yeheeeyyyyy! hehe. this would be
a very loooooooong weekend.
