here are pictures from last night's gig at the masagana mall,
the "against the flow goes wild" concert. i came in late so i
was only able to watch half of the bands who performed.

i was with my cousin dors. i was surprised to see my old friend
(and fellow indie enthusiast) khris, in the concert. i also saw
kuya jim of now radio there.

episode 3

after the goofy prequels that were Episodes 1 and 2, george
lucas finally redeems himself and saves face in Episode 3.
the last offering from the epic trilogies seamlessly knits
them all altogether. it features the usual lucas film effects,
unfortunately we were not spared from the lame dialogues.. and jar
jar binks. makes you wanna wish the lord of the rings has prequels
too. good thing they're making narnia into a movie.

i added a temperature monitor on my blog.
it's for everybody's good. oh that oppressive heat. its 35 deg
celsius and it feels like 42 deg celsius. can you believe that?

hotter than your normal body temperature

mood: in the mood for some sleep

we had our company outing at subic last
weekend. just a friendly reminder, don't
ever attempt to go to the beach these days.
the temperature isn't fit for swimming, it's
way too hot. and good luck to your eskinol-treated
face. most of us guys stayed indoors
and slept in our rooms. now that's what i call
a vacation. the food was great though, buffet
breakfast, lunch and dinner. and hurray for the
bottomless iced tea.

we left early saturday afternoon. most of us
were sluggish because we spent the wee hours
singing in a videoke bar. our president insisted
that all of us sing. 214 was my song of choice. and
i never tought you'd find p.o.d's youth of the
nation in a videoke songlist. anyway, i arrived at
valenzuela around 5pm and i still managed to practice
for the worship set for the second service. the worship
set for our second worship service is an acoustic one,
we have a kahon, an acoustic guitar, and a bass. i
never really enjoyed playing the bass because it gives
little space for improvisation, meaning i can't play
around with it. it requires much focus, and if you
just got off from a very tiring trip, the word "focus"
isn't really a word at all. needless to say, i made
a lot of clams. but they say a group of clams is jazz.
so does that get me off the hook? im sure you don't
have any idea what the heck am i talking about. hehe.

okay fast forward sunday 8:30 am. the monitors were
good, the house speakers were good and the microphones
don't seem to ba having a mind of their own. kuya art,
being the seasoned worship leader that he is, successfully
ushered the congregation into worship. we made a couple
of mistakes, but i guess okay lang yun.. hehe.

speaking of worship leaders, reuben morgan, will be leading
worship in manila on june 11. it will be at the araneta
coliseum. there will be a workshop prior to the concert.
